EQUESTRIAN CENTRE

The Equestrian Centre at the Royal Alexandra and Albert School is renowned for being a relaxed and welcoming venue with approachable and experienced staff. The Stables boast a double American barn that houses 20 horses, tack rooms, classroom, feed room, kitchen and office. There is a floodlit 40x50m outdoor sand school and a 20x30m indoor sand school. The Centre is set in the picturesque heart of Surrey within the grounds of the School.

We offer a wide range of equestrian education including riding lessons, Pony Club tests, BHS exams and the CLTH PDQ qualifications. We also offer additional activities for students such as hacks, local and regional events, demonstrations, birthday parties, camps and exam preparation.

Although we operate as a commercial riding centre, students take priority. Our facility offers excellent value for money by giving our students subsidised rates on all riding activities.

Registering for Lessons

All students are placed into a suggested rider group based on their age and ability. These rider groups may help you decide on the most suitable lessons and activities to book your child onto.

All riding activities must be booked through the EC Pro app or website: https://raa-school.ecpro.co.uk

Should you need any help in using the system, please contact us directly at stables@gatton-park.org.uk and we will be happy to help with any queries.

Riding Activity Charges

Students at Royal Alexandra and Albert School receive an automatic discount of 10% off the commercial price of all riding activities. A further 10% discount is applied where 10 or more lessons are purchased in bulk for the termly riding club. Please note the termly riding club offer is non-refundable; however, lesson dates can be rescheduled in EC Pro with sufficient notice. Due to the popularity of our termly riding club, once signed up for the academic year, notice of one term in advance must be given for cancellation.

For 2023/24, the cost of a 45-minute group riding lesson is £36 for commercial customers, £32.40 for students, or £29.16 for students purchasing the termly riding club offer. Full details of pricing for all riding activities can be found in the EC Pro booking system.

We can accept Childcare Vouchers for all riding activities that take place onsite. Should you wish to use Childcare Vouchers to pay for an activity, please contact the Stables team at stables@gatton-park.org.uk prior to making a booking on the EC Pro app, so that a credit for the voucher value can be applied to your account.
