The Equestrian Centre at the Royal Alexandra and Albert School is renowned for being a relaxed and welcoming venue with approachable and experienced staff.
The Centre provides affordable riding lessons to pupils at the School, as well as offering pupils opportunities to compete in local and regional events. The stables boast a double American barn that houses 20 horses, tack rooms, classroom, feed room, kitchen and office. There is a floodlit 40x50m outdoor sand school and a 20x30m indoor sand school. The Centre is set in the picturesque heart of Surrey within the grounds of the School.
The Equestrian Centre is a member of the British Show Jumping Association and is an accredited Show Jumping Centre. This provides pupils and visitors with the opportunity to compete in classes between 70cm and 1m.
The Equestrian Centre also hosts Dressage Competitions.
Pony Club is a recognised worldwide organisation that allows members to achieve qualifications that are recognised standards in the equestrian industry. It is an international voluntary youth organisation and the largest association of riders in the world. The Pony Club provides instruction in riding and horse mastership, and educates members to look after and take proper care of their animals.
As a Centre Member we offer full training for the efficiency test which is the Pony Club’s bench mark standard, along with progressive tests and achievement badges. The training courses are fun-filled and action packed to motivate and give your child the knowledge and skills they need to achieve the Pony Club tests and badges.
To take part in Pony Club at the School all pupils will need to be a member of Pony Club, membership is currently £31. Membership must be applied for directly with Pony Club.
